Stimulatory Fillers-PLLA

What areas can be treated?

  • PLLA can be used to improve most areas of the face
  • Improvement in loss of volume and ‘bony’ look associated with aging
  • Overall skin tightening, ‘refreshed’ and youthful appearance
  • 2-3 treatment sessions usually required for optimum results
  • NOT recommended around the eyes, nose and lips
  • NOT recommended for filling specific lines and wrinkles

What else should I know?

  • PLLA is an active dermal filler, leads to collagen stimulation
  • 2-3 sessions are required, spaced about a month apart
  • Results appear gradually over a period of months as new collagen is produced
  • Subtle and natural looking overall enhancement of facial features
  • Long-lasting improvement for 1.5 to 2 years
  • NOT recommended for those wanting "instant’ results, or a ‘quick fix" makeover
  • Improper dilution or technique can give rise to visible lumps in the skin
  • Mild discomfort during the procedure, some bruising and swelling immediately after
  • Regular post treatment massage is required (5mins, 5 times daily, for 5 days)
  • There is little or no downtime. Within reason, normal activities can be resumed soon after
  • Most of our fillers are delivered with a SOFT flexible cannula instead of a traditional ‘hard’ needle. This is less painful and leads to MUCH less bleeding, bruising and swelling. With one, or two, entry points we can cover most of the areas requiring fillers
